I've been away! No computer, no internet, no nothing. Lots of ice creams, storming the beaches of Normandy, camping stories (more of which anon and trust me there are quite a few), Isle of Wight Rockpooling and general fun. It is going to be a shock getting back into the swing of things at home.
To postpone the great moment when I have to confront my laundry pile, here's an entry for Tara's Gallery, theme of Playtime. Not of any of our recent escapades as that would be way too efficient. No this is closer to home, just on a path called 'The Devil's Backbone'. The boys adore swinging out over this drop, my heart is always in my mouth but it is an improvement on climbing impossibly high trees and refusing to come down.
Helloooo, hope you have had a lovely time away. Tis nice to 'see' you.
ReplyDeleteYou know when I first looked at that picture, it was with the bottom third chopped off. The drop looked almost sheer. I let out this involuntary "Oh my god!" before scrolling down, seeing the whole picture and feeling like a plonker.
Welcome back! I bet it was great to have a break from everything. I hope to hear all about it soon.....
ReplyDeleteI'm not good with heights, especially when daughter is involved. She loves this kind of thing and yes, my heart misses lots of beats. Looking forward to hearing all your stories from your holiday!
ReplyDeleteeek, that looks high up! I'm such a wuss! lol!
ReplyDeleteI hope that's not as far down as it looks!
ReplyDeleteIt's so like Boys to do these things and golly iniitally like Gappy I thought that is deep - still it is deliciously deep a for them and they must get that wonderful thrilling fear each time they do it! Wish I could keep up with mine my heart leaps too!
