About Me

Monday, 30 May 2011

Just back from hosting a 6 year old's birthday party...

.. and would just like to say that primary school teachers are not paid enough. However much they are paid, it isn't enough. Next time there is a round of pay negotiations, they need to make the politicians take charge of 20 6 year old boys, hyped up on sugar and excitement for 2 hours. Then they will get the amount of money they deserve.

Also, I'd like to say that Blogger isn't letting me comment on my own blog, so bear with me, I'm not ignoring your comments, I'm just shouting at the computer a lot. Fingers crossed normal service will be resumed shortly.

  1. Yes. Primary school teachers should get medals. Them and midwives.

  2. Ha! Ha! Friends have told me that I should consider being a teacher...??!! Are they mad?? I have nowhere near the patience. Teachers are bloody saints. They're almost not human. They should be paid BUCKETS of dosh to do what they do. But even if they did...I still wouldn't be able to join their ranks.

  3. Speaking to the boys teachers, they are much calmer at school and I have a friend that is a TA in Mini's class and was with Maxi's year last year and they are different children in and out of school!

  4. Good old blogger. I have a few friends who teach primary school and from the stories I hear, I am with you that they deserve a medal...and that is even before you get to the stories about dealing with overzealous parents!

  5. I have HUGE admiration for kindergarten teachers. I honestly do not know how they do it.

I had problems with Blogger too, but switched my broswer from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox and then everything worked better.

  6. I said only today that teachers are not paid enough. We're only two days in the half-term break. Who knows what I'll be saying by the end!

  7. Cannot agree more. Everyone who is obstructing piece on earth should have to take care of my seven year old and his friends following a donut snack.

  8. I completely agree - when people ask why I work I just wave in the the general direction of the chaos the girls are unleashing and look perplexed - of course I work, it means I don't have to do this all the time. Obviously
